NEW DELHI: Smartphone maker Huawei has launched its first Nova 8 series smartphone — Nova 8 SE in China. The smartphone is the successor of the last year launched Huawei Nova 7 SE. The company has launched two editions of the smartphone — one is the standard edition and a High Edition. The only difference between the two is of the processors and the support for 5G services.
Huawei has priced the Nova 8 SE at 2,599 yuan (Rs 29,100) on the other hand the Huawei Nova 8 SE High Edition cost 2,699 yuan (Rs 30,200). The smartphone can be purchased in Deep Sea Blue, Magic Night Black, Silver Moon Stars, and Sakura Snow Clear Sky colour options. The smartphone will go on sale starting November 11,
Huawei Nova 8 SE specifications
The Huawei Nova 8 SE comes with a 6.53-inch full HD+ display with 1080×2400 pixel resolution. The smartphone runs Android 10 operating system topped with the company’s own layer of EMUI 10.1. The High Edition of Huawei Nova 8 SE is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 800U processor, while the standard version is powered by an octa-core Dimesity 720 processor.
The smartphone packs 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. Users can further expand the storage by adding a microSD card. The handset measures 161.6×74.8×7.46mm and it comes equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The Huawei Nova 8 SE sports a quad-rear camera setup which consist of 64MP main sensor with f/1.9 aperture, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.4 aperture, 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture and 2MP macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The smartphone comes with 10x digital zoom and 4k video recording. The front is home to a 16MP selfie camera which is located in the notch of the display.
The Huawei Nova 8 SE is backed by a 3800mAh battery with 66W fast charging support.
