The department had asked candidates to upload their graduation/equivalent mark in the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) portal by November 5 prior to preparation of final state merit list. But students couldn’t manage to upload the marks due to delay in publication of undergraduate (UG) final year/semester results by many colleges and universities.
Keeping the delay in mind, the timeline for CPET admission process has been revised. Students can update their marks in the SAMS portal by November 10. After publication of state wide merit list on November 16, all the admission process for PG courses will be completed by December 10 instead of November 30.
Odisha conducted CPET for the first time for admission into PG courses offered by state public universities and colleges. The test was conducted between October 12 and October 22 at 28 examination centres in the state. A total of 62,942 candidates including six Covid-19 positive students had appeared the CPET-2020 examinations out of the 71,789 registered candidates. The turnout percentage was 87.6.
In the previous notification, the department had announced that PG first year classes will begin from December 3. But the government has not mentioned about date of commencement of classes in the fresh notification. The department may start the online classes after December 10, sources said.
