Sovit Patel from Titilagarh in Balangir district has become topper for the BTech course, while Shyam Sundar Patel from Bhubaneswar has topped the entrance test for MTech course. Similarly, Subhakanta Sahoo is the topper of MBA, Joydeep Dey for MCA, Soumya Ranjan Routray for BPharm, Parimita Sahu for MPharm, Bharat Bhusan for MArch, Rajat Kumar Dalai for integrated MBA and Gyanada Panda for MPlan.
The examination was held for various technical/professional courses, such as BTech, (lateral entry) LE-Tech (Dip), LE-Tech (BSc), B Pharm, MBA, MCA, Integrated MBA, LE-Pharm, MPharm, MArch, MPlan and MTech (11 specialisations).
This year, a record number of candidates (79,754) were registered for the examination. Of them, 49,267 candidates had appeared the test, all of whom have been allotted ranks in their corresponding courses as per their performance in the examination.
This year, for the first time, OJEE was held in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode for all the courses. The examination was conducted at 54 examination centres in 21 cities of the state as well as five centres in three cities outside Odisha.
Normally OJEE is conducted in the month of May, but this year the government has delayed the examination because of the Covid-19 situation. After postponing the examination for several times, the examination was held between October 12 and October 22 by following all Covid guidelines.
