Panasonic has announced its first lens of the large aperture series based on L-mount and designed for Lumix S series full frame mirrorless cameras. The new lens S-S85 comes with 85mm focal length with f/1.8 aperture and the company claims that it will offer bokeh effect to enhance portrait photography.
Apart from this, the company has confirmed that all the upcoming large aperture lenses will have same size and will feature same diameter as well so that users can use same lens filters

Panasonic Lumix S-S85 lens is priced at Rs 59,990 and it will be available pan India in November across all Panasonic brand shops and Panasonic 4K imaging School.

The S-S85 lens comes with f/1.8 aperture and it comprises 9 elements in 8 groups. The company has used 2ED (extra-low dispersion) lenses to suppress axial chromatic aberration and chromatic aberration of magnification. The filter diameter of the lens is 67 mm, with a 9-blade circular aperture diaphragm. The company also claims that Panasonic S85 lens offers smooth defocus gradation and round bokeh without vignetting. The lens features a compact and rugged form factor at just 355g and it also features dust/splash resistant coating for added durability.
The company has also confirmed that they are working on a brand new 70-300mm telephoto zoom lens alongside the large aperture lenses.
