NEW DELHI: Bhim Army chief Chandrashekhar Azad on Sunday claimed that shots were fired at his convoy in Uttar Pradesh‘s Bulandshahr where he was campaigning for the upcoming byelections.
“Our decision to field a candidate from Bulandshahr has unnerved the opposition parties and today’s rally took their sleep away, which is why shots have been fired at my convoy,” he tweeted.

Azad said the incident shows that the opposition is fearing defeat in the polls and is trying to vitiate the atmosphere, but his party won’t let it happen.
The Sadar seat is witnessing a four-way contest between BJP, RLD, Congress and Bhim Army.
