The video shows a user messaging a business for the product she is interested in. The business then replies back with a catalogue of products that a buyer can choose from. The buyer, then simply adds the product to the card and checks out from the app itself.

The product catalogue will allow users to see products in their chat boxes. Announcing the feature, WhatsApp said “We will expand ways for people to check out available products and make purchases right from a chat. We also want to make it easier for businesses to integrate these features into their existing commerce and customer solutions. This will help many small businesses who have been most impacted in this time.”
WhatsApp plans to bring hosting services on its platform. It will provide a new option to businesses to manage their WhatsApp messages. “This will make it easier for small and medium size businesses to get started, sell products, keep their inventory up to date, and quickly respond to messages they receive – wherever their employees are,” the company added.
WhatsApp shopping button is said to be coming soon for users in India as well.
