NEW DELHI: Smartphone maker Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 9 smartphone in India in July this year. The company has now launched a new colour variant of the handset in the country. The smartphone is already available in four colour options — Aqua Green, Arctic White, Scarlet Red and Pebble Grey. The smartphone maker has now introduced a fifth colour option — Shadow Black. The Redmi Note 9 is a budget smartphone and it comes with a quad rear camera setup.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 comes in three variants– 4GB+64GB, 4GB+128GB and 6GB+128GB priced at Rs 10,999, Rs 12,999 and Rs 14,499 respectively.
Redmi Note 9 specifications
The Redmi Note 9 features a 6.53-inch full HD+ display with a 1080×2340 pixel resolution. The display is protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top. The device is powered by an octa-core MediaTek processor paired with 3GB/4GB of RAM.
The smartphone comes in two storage variants — 64GB and 128GB. Users can further expand the storage up to 512GB by adding a microSD card. The smartphone comes with dual SIM functionality and runs Android 10 operating system topped with the company’s own MIUI 11.
The Redmi Note 9 sports a quad-camera setup with a 48MP main sensor with f/1.79 aperture, 8MP 118° ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, 2MP macro lens and 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The front is home to a 13MP selfie camera with f/2.25 aperture. The smartphone comes equipped with a fingerprint sensor and an infrared sensor.
The device comes with slash-resistant P2i coating and is backed by a 5,020 mAh battery which supports 18W fast charging.
